Jo Krallman, Phyllis Byrum and Barbara Baker, "What Makes a Blue Ribbon at a Flower Show"

Jo Krallman 

In addition to having taught and given programs in 40 states and Mexico, Jo Krallman has been a Design Instructor for Flower Show Schools and Symposiums for 22 years.  She has served Arkansas as State President, Flower Show School  Chairman, Credentials Chairman & Symposium Chairman for many years as well as other chairmanships. Jo has served SCR on many levels and is currently SCR Recording Secretary.   Also, Jo has served NGC for many years in various chairmanships. Currently she is on the Membership Committee.

Phyllis Byrum 

Phyllis Byrum from Little Rock, Arkansas, has a horticulture degree from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.  She is an NGC Master flower show judge. She chaired the Advanced Standard Flower Shows in conjunction with the Arkansas Flower and Garden Shows in 2006 and 2008.  The 2008 show won the NGC Flower Show Achievement Award.  She has won blue ribbons and top NGC horticulture awards.   




Barbara Baker 

Barbara Baker is a NGC Flower Show Schools Design Instructor who has taught from New Mexico to New Hampshire.  She especially enjoys leading hands-on flower arranging workshops. Groups enjoy touring her English Cottage/Butterfly Garden which she seems to change after each annual garden tour to England.  Barbara has served as President of Texas Garden Clubs, Inc., NGC Awards Chairman and Recording Secretary and is currently Director of the South Central Region.  Her project as State President and Regional Director is promoting habitat protection and restoration; she was recently appointed to the Fort Worth Mayor's Monarch Butterfly Conservation Committee.
